User Experience Expert to Address Unique Design Demands of Applications Delivered On-Demand Over the Internet

Giurata will be speaking on the “Enterprise software - The Online Revolution” panel, which will address the accelerating shift from monolithic enterprise applications to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The panel take place at the Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, CA, on Tuesday, May 13 - 12:00-12:45 - Room C.
SaaS has been one of the enterprise software industry’s hottest buzzword over the past few years. Gartner Research estimates that SaaS will grow seven times faster than on-premise software deployments during the next three years. But as organizations look to make their move to on-demand, they need to be aware of the opportunities and pitfalls of application design that are unique to SaaS.
Transitioning to a SaaS is not as simple as merely repackaging an enterprise product on the Web. On the one hand there are the technical and operational issues of implementation.
